Making brussels sprouts salad:

Step 1: Prepare the cabbage.


Peel fresh Brussels sprouts from red crimson leaves and put in a colander. Rinse the cabbage heads properly, drain excess water from them and chop into thin strips. For convenience, it is best to use a special knife for shredding cabbage.

Step 2: Prepare the cheese.


Before starting to cook, soak the grater in cold water so that the cheese does not stick and is easily chopped. Grate the cheese, for the preparation of this salad is best to turn it into small chips. Thus, it will be felt in the finished dish with only a light cheese flavor.

Step 3: Prepare the walnuts.


Use a nut cracker to pull the flesh of the walnuts out of the shell, then chop the core into smaller pieces. Walnuts contain a lot of fat, so you do not need to lubricate the pan with anything else. Just heat it on the stove, pour the core of crushed nuts and fry over medium heat stirring all the time. You need to cook before the appearance of a golden crust, in time it may take from 3 to 5 minutes. Then pour the cooked ingredient into a salad bowl and let it cool.

Step 4: Mix the salad.


Put all the prepared ingredients in a deep and sufficiently sized salad bowl, such that it is convenient for you to mix the salad. Add salt and pepper to taste, as well as pour apple cider vinegar. Using a wooden spatula, or rather two, mix all the ingredients together, and then add mustard and olive oil to the salad. Continue mixing until all the spices have spread throughout the salad. Then cover the salad bowl with a lid and shake the dish several times. That's all, you can start serving.

Serve the salad either immediately after preparation, or by letting it brew a little. Also offer a few slices of bread for this salad.
