Cooking ham and potato salad:

Step 1: Prepare the potatoes and eggs.

Let's start making the salad with potatoes and eggs. So, we wash the eggs under hot running water, carefully place them in a small saucepan, fill with clean water and put on the stove. Turn on the medium heat and while we wait for the liquid to boil, carefully rinse the potatoes (leave the peel). For our recipe, you need 400 grams of potatoes - usually 2 or 3 pieces weigh that much, depending on size. Now turn on the adjacent burner to the maximum level, put the pan and pour water (salt is not necessary yet).
Meanwhile, the liquid with the eggs boiled, so you can slightly reduce the heat and cook them until cooked. Across 6 - 8 minutes turn off the fire, pour hot water from the finished eggs and pour cold flowing water (so they cool faster).

We return to the potato: lower it into boiling water, reduce the heat to medium and cook 10 minutes. Then add salt to taste, mix and cook until completely cooked 15 to 20 minutes. How to check if potatoes are boiled? It’s very simple - we arm ourselves with a fork or knife and pierce the flesh of the vegetable, if the prongs or blade pierce it easily, then it is cooked, if not, then we cook for 5-7 minutes and check again.
We carefully take out the boiled potatoes from the water, transfer to a plate and leave to cool.

Step 2: Cut the remaining ingredients.

While potatoes are being cooked so as not to waste time in vain, we will have time to chop all the other ingredients. We wash the tomatoes and green onions under running water, put them on a cutting board and grind them: we cut the tomatoes into pieces of arbitrary shape about 1 - 1.5 centimeters, and chop the green onion finely. We shift them into a deep plate, bowl or salad bowl.

Now ham, so that it looks beautiful in a salad, it is better to cut it into cubes or cubes. So, having chosen the desired shape, grind and transfer the ham into a plate with tomatoes and onions.

Pickled cucumbers can also be cut in several ways: cubes, cubes, circles, slices or slices. The shape of the slices will not affect the taste of the salad. For this, cut as you like and put in a common plate.

Step 3: Cut the eggs with potatoes.

While we sliced the ingredients, the eggs probably had time to cool and they can be easily peeled. Then grind and transfer to a salad bowl. There are several methods of grinding, again: we rub on a grater with small holes, cut into straw or slices.

Next, peel the cooked and cooled potatoes, put them on a cutting board and cut into slices or cubes. After we remove in a bowl and mix with a tablespoon until smooth.

Step 4: Refill the salad.

Now it remains to fill the salad with mayonnaise, salt to taste to taste (it is better to try in advance, since pickles and mayonnaise were used), mix again and can be served.

Step 5: Serve the ham and potato salad.

We lay out the finished salad on plates and serve for dinner or as an addition to the main dish for lunch. Together with slices of rye or white bread. You can decorate the salad with sprigs of fresh parsley, dill, as well as black (olives) or green olives. Hearty, delicious salad is ready!
Enjoy your meal!
