Cooking squid with mushrooms in sour cream:

Step 1: Prepare the squid.


In order to quickly clean the squid carcasses, put them in a colander and pour boiling water over them, and then immediately cool with cold water. Remove the skin like a film and remove the chitin plate by feeling for it with your fingertips. If you purchased the whole squid carcass with your head, then it is very easy to remove it, simply by tearing it out with your hands. Cut peeled seafood into rings as usual. The thickness of the slices for this dish almost does not matter.

Step 2: Prepare the mushrooms.


Put the champignon mushrooms in a colander and sort through, removing dark spots with a knife, if you find any. Rinse this ingredient, removing all adhering dirt well. Put clean and selected champignons on a cutting board and cut into slices that are convenient for you, for example, slices or cubes.

Step 3: Prepare the onion.


Peel the onion, as usual. Then rinse, cutting off the ends, and crumble into small cubes. The smaller the pieces, the better, the less they will be felt in the finished dish, giving it all its aroma and taste.

Step 4: Cook the squid with mushrooms in sour cream.


Heat vegetable oil in a pan and fry the onion in it until golden brown and transparent. Then there, in the pan you need to add chopped champignon mushrooms and mix. Reduce heat and continue cooking. 10 minutesstirring occasionally. Then add sour cream to the mushrooms and onions with a tablespoon, salt and pepper to taste, and at the very end add the squid rings. Stir well and simmer still 10 minutes under the closed lid. After this time, the squid with mushrooms in sour cream will be completely ready and you can proceed to serving.

Step 5: Serve the squid with mushrooms stewed in sour cream.


Squid with mushrooms, stewed in sour cream, served hot. It is best to serve them with pasta, then you will get a great pasta of seafood and mushrooms. You can also use boiled rice as a side dish for this dish. And as a sauce abundantly pour over the finished dish with the sour cream remaining in the pan.
