Ingredients for making batter with cabbage

Making pie from batter with cabbage:

Step 1: prepare the cabbage.


We wash the cabbage well under running water, shake off excess liquid and put it on a cutting board. Using a coarse grater, we rub the vegetable directly over the medium bowl.

In parallel with this, put a piece of butter in the pan and put the container on medium heat. When the component has completely melted, pour the slaw cabbage here. From time to time, stirring with a wooden spatula, fry the vegetable until pale golden. Attention: if it seems to you that there is not enough oil, then you can add a little more vegetable. At the end, turn off the burner, and set the pan aside. Let the cabbage become warm.

Step 2: prepare the dough for the pie.


Pour kefir into a deep bowl and immediately pour baking soda here. Using a tablespoon, mix everything thoroughly until smooth. The mass will begin to foam and increase in size. It should be so.
Next, using a knife, break the egg shell, and pour the yolks with proteins into a bowl. Pour salt here and, using a hand whisk or mixer, beat all the ingredients at low speed until a homogeneous mass is formed.
Now add mayonnaise to the bowl and again thoroughly mix with a tablespoon.
Next, pour the flour into a sieve and sift it in small portions directly into the container. In parallel with this, we continue to whisk everything with a whisk so that no lumps appear. We should get a homogeneous liquid dough, which will drain from a spoon.
At the end we add to it 1 tablespoon vegetable oil and mix everything again.

Step 3: prepare a pie from batter with cabbage.


We grease the bottom and walls of the baking dish with the remaining vegetable oil and after that we pour half of the dough here. Then put the cabbage filling in the container. At the end, fill it with the remaining dough and be sure to level the surface of the pie with a tablespoon so that the liquid mass evenly covers the fried vegetables. Now sprinkle with semolina or bread crumbs and turn on the oven.

When it warms up to temperature 190 degrees, put the form on a medium level and bake the cake for 40 minutes. After the allotted time, the dish should be covered with a golden crust. Immediately after that, turn off the oven, and take out the form with the help of kitchen gloves and set aside. Let the cake cool to a warm state.

Step 4: serve the batter with cabbage.


We transfer the warm cake from the mold to a special plate, use a knife to cut it into slices and then serve it with the tea or coffee to the dining table. Such aromatic and tasty pastries can be poured with sour cream and other salty sauces to your taste. By the way, the pie turns out to be so satisfying that it can easily be served for breakfast or dinner.

Recipe Tips:

- If desired, onions and carrots can be added to the filling. To do this, grind these components in advance and fry over medium heat until soft. Immediately after that, add the cabbage to them and continue to simmer everything until golden brown;
