Stuffed Chicken Drumsticks


Ingredients for Stuffed Chicken Drumsticks

  1. Chicken (drumsticks) 3-4 pcs

  3. Bulgarian pepper 1/2 pc
  4. Cheese 60 g
  5. Greens to taste

Cooking Stuffed Chicken Drumsticks:

Step 1: Cut the vegetables.

We rinse the bell pepper under running water, remove the seeds, cut it in half and chop it into a small cube about 1 cm in size. After that we transfer it to a deep plate.
We wash the tomatoes under running water and remove the skin. It can be removed with a sharp knife or scalded vegetables with boiling water. Cut the tomatoes into small cubes and spread to the bell pepper.

Then go to the cheese. It can be cut into the same small cube or grated with large holes. Add chopped cheese to pepper and tomatoes.
You can use any greens for this recipe, for example, basil leaves, parsley, dill or cilantro, the main thing is that it is to your taste. We wash the greens under running water, shake over the sink and finely chop on a cutting board. After we shift it to vegetables and cheese.

Step 2: Prepare the filling.


Mix the resulting mixture with a tablespoon until smooth. Add black ground pepper and set aside to insist.

Step 3: Prepare Chicken Drumsticks.

Meanwhile, we wash the chicken drumsticks under cold running water, wipe it with paper kitchen towels or napkins and lay it on a cutting board. We arm ourselves with a sharp knife and make an incision in the middle to the bone.

Then with our hands we increase the incision, with a knife, carefully separate the meat from the bone in a circle. At the same time, without touching the meat on the upper and lower parts of the bone.

Thus, we should have enough space around the bone to stuff the drumstick.

Step 4: Stuffing the Chicken.

We return to the filling, add a little salt to taste, mix and use a teaspoon to spread the filling in the prepared chicken drumsticks. After that, each piece is tightly tied with twine or fasten the meat with ordinary toothpicks.

Step 5: Bake the dish.

We smear the baking dish with vegetable oil, sprinkle each drumstick with salt and black pepper. Then we put them in the form with the filling up, sprinkle with vegetable oil and send to the oven, preheated to 180 degrees. Chicken drumsticks are baked until fully cooked for 30 - 40 minutes.

Step 6: Serve the stuffed chicken drumsticks.


We take out the finished chicken drumsticks from the oven, leave for a couple of minutes, so that they cool slightly. We cut the twine (we get the toothpicks) and you can serve the meat to the table. It is perfect for pasta, fried potatoes or boiled cereals, for example, rice. Everything, another delicious lunch or dinner is ready!
